Brilliant! I’ve always loved the poem - great with the voice and animation….

Musical accompaniments have an irritating feature of broadcasting poetry in Central Europe for decades. They’re distracting and interfere with the feelings that the poem should be arousing. The poem should stand on its own. Visuals are less objectionable as they don’t involve hearing.
But surely you can be a bit more ambitious than McGough’s woeful sentimentality.

This is a truly wonderful piece and really captivates summer love and the feeling of woe when the relationship ends, it even involves personification when he sees her with his objects, it brings a feeling of jealously to mind, maybe?
This is a very funny and well written piece which a thoroughly enjoyed.
You could try to make the piece a little shorter to keep the listener interesting? but apart from that a sterling effort and commendable piece!
