Maya Angelou is amazing; one of my favourite poets.
A truly inspirational woman.
Wonderful choice for International Women’s Day.

I love this poem, and oh the people I wish I could’ve recited this to! This is the first of Maya Angelou’s poems I’ve come across, but I will definitely be looking out for her work in future. Brilliant! Thank you.

A Beautiful poem by a truly gifted poet and writer. I love her inaugural poem she gave at President Clinton’s inauguration even more. Also, Maya Angelou really knows how to speak her poetry to us. She has the gift of voice , spirit, and intellect.

Please - more Maya Angelou. How can you not smile with her generous human smile, watching and listening to her read?
